Adult Education Instructor
North / South Kingstown, RI

Part-Time (20 hours per week)

The Adult Education Instructor is responsible to deliver academic instruction to students for a variety of purposes including, preparation to take the GED exam, increasing skills to perform at the post-secondary level or to take advanced training classes, and to obtain career-oriented employment.  Duties include academic & vocational assessments, delivering classroom instruction, tutoring, curriculum development, monitoring student hours and progress, tracking student outcomes & performance, utilizing internet-based programs & software, tracking distance learning and evaluating student progress.  All students will be dual enrolled in our career development program.  

Bachelors in Education with minimum of three years experience teaching adult education students; strong classroom and one-on-one teaching skills; must be able to work independently and meet goals.  Experience with at-risk populations ages 16 to 24 and RI Teacher Certification a plus.  Some late afternoon or early evening hours may be required.
