MOBILITY SPECIALIST

Part-Time (20 hours per week)

The Mobility Specialist position entails assessing elders and disabled adults in their homes, to determine any need for assistive devices that will enable them to maintain the highest level of functioning; assisting clients through three (3) different programs with different funding; completing the required assessments for each individual program that the client is enrolled in and ensuring the completion of all supporting documentation; reviews client goals for independence; measures and assists client with obtaining required equipment to achieve their stated goals; ordering, oversight of installation of equipment and training in the use of the equipment; visiting all clients at least yearly with additional assessments completed as a client’s needs change. 

Qualifications:  Current RI COTA license; Current COTA certification; Past Experience in LTC (either institutional or home based care).
